HVAC Technician SkillBridge/CSP for Transitioning Service Members
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the preventive maintenance program for specific equipment.
- Respond to all emergency on-call pages within 30 minutes.
- Maintain air filters in air handling units, furnaces, air conditioners, and related equipment.
- Install and maintain refrigeration equipment, including ice machines, refrigerators, freezers, water coolers, air conditioners, chillers, and pneumatic air dryers.
- Install and maintain pneumatic, electric, and electronic thermostats, humidistats, valves, dampers, and controls.
- Install and maintain air handling equipment, such as supply fans, return air fans, exhaust fans, fan coil units, humidifiers, and furnaces.
- Monitor controls and performance of the HVAC system using computerized equipment.
- Fabricate and install sheet metal duct and stainless steel.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are consistently met.
- Maintain consistently high-quality work with fewer than 2 callbacks per month.
- Document work orders promptly within 24 hours of completion.
- Route work orders to the appropriate craft/shop for follow-up and completion.
- Perform other duties within Facilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
- 5+ Years of Position-Related Experience
REQUIRED LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION:
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
