Receptionist/Customer Service in a Medical; General Office Setting
Role:
A Customer Service Receptionist in a not-for-profit office is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing client interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. They handle phone calls, schedule appointments, greet clients, and manage administrative tasks like client records and insurance verification.
Responsibilities:
*Client Interaction:
*Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
*Check clients in and out, ensuring accurate appointment scheduling and follow-up.
*Answer client questions and address concerns in a helpful and courteous manner.
Administrative Tasks:
*Manage client records, including updating information and filing documents.
*Verify insurance information and handle billing inquiries.
*Schedule appointments and manage the clinician's calendar.
*Process payments and collect co-pays.
Communication:
*Answer phone calls, screen messages, and relay information to appropriate staff.
*Communicate with insurance companies and other medical offices.
*Provide clear and concise information to clients about office procedures and policies.
Other Duties:
*Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
*Manage office supplies.
*Follow HIPAA regulations and protect client confidentiality.
