Civil Engineer -Land Development – Naples Fl
We are seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer specializing in land development to join our dynamic team. This role involves site design, permitting, and project management for residential and commercial development projects. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and strong project management skills, working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Design & Engineering: Develop grading, drainage, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D; design stormwater management systems, erosion control measures, and infrastructure layouts.
- Regulatory & Permitting Compliance: Interpret zoning codes, land use regulations, and environmental constraints; prepare and submit permit applications for local, state, and federal approvals.
- Project Management & Coordination: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; collaborate with architects, surveyors, environmental consultants, and contractors.
- Technical Oversight: Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and constructability; assist in cost estimating, bid preparation, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required).
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling (HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM), and GIS tools.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater management, erosion control, permitting, and zoning regulations.
- Experience with client coordination, attending meetings, and ensuring quality control.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
