Assembler
Summary Assembler will work in various departments and workstations and will be responsible for using parts and various tools to produce On Load Tap Changers and Motor Drives while working within the safety guidelines in a team atmosphere. Must be detail oriented and show ability to follow instructions to ensure a quality product is received by our customers in a timely manner.
Essential Functions – Maintain and inspect for damaged tools prior to daily usage. Able to process Job Tickets using SAP to complete assembly using the bill material, interpret blueprints, and following the work instructions. Check and inspect calibration of tools on a daily basis. Perform Pre-audits of product & communicate defects according to check sheets. Complete and build product at the work center using the Job Tickets within the specified amount of time. Daily housekeeping using the 6S standard at each work area. Perform daily work schedule according to SAP. Identify all quality defects and communicate to the Supervisors. Repair and rework as required. Assist with employee training as determined by supervisor. Maintain bin inventory and report shortages to Supervisor. Other task as assigned by Supervisor
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
1 year in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Ability or some exposure to assembly with hardware and wiring tools (i.e. wire cutters/soldering, point-to-point, nuts/bolts, wire crimpers, ratchet wrench, hammer, etc.).

Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role will routinely be exposed to loud noises such as air-powered tools/presses, oil/dirt, and forklift traffic. Additionally, this position will require some use of various hand, pneumatic air, and battery operated torque tools
Physical Demands This position is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to handle, feel and/or reach. Some lifting of parts may be required when necessary; ability to lift a minimum of 35-50 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Typical Shift Hours of Operations
1st shift 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
2nd shift 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Daily and weekend overtime may be required, as needed
