Job Title: Converting/Utility Worker
Location: Georgetown KY
Shift: 1st shift – 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday
(Mandatory Overtime on Friday's)
Pay: $15.00/hour
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for providing support to the machine crew and Operator.
- May cover the following machines: Rotary Die Cutter, One Cut Die Cutter, Flexo Folder Gluer, Post Folder Gluer, Jumbo, and Automation Stitcher, Taper Gluer, Flatbed Die Cutter, Atom Die Cutter, Honeycomb Die Cutter, Coaters and Laminator, Slitters, Band Saw, and Post Sonic Welders.
- Meet key operational goals and efficiently setup the machine.
- Troubleshooting quality issues.
- Unitize material to customer specifications.
- Check incoming stock against specs prior to machine setup.
- Help monitor all waste off machine and notify Operator if waste levels are excessive.
- Help monitor the machine for potential maintenance issues.
- Participate in TPS activities and tools including Kaizen events, as needed and required.
- Assist in the training process for all new helpers.
- Work with the Finishing Operator to learn how to effectively operate the machine.
- Ensure that the machine and its surrounding area are properly cleaned at the end of each shift.
- Also will perform other duties as assigned.
What we need from you:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or over
- Must comply with client’s substance abuse & background policy
- Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2 years minimum manufacturing/industrial experience.
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must have good math skills including fractions.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently throughout the shift
