Forklift Operator/ Order Picker
A forklift operator, also known as a material handler, is responsible for moving materials around a warehouse or manufacturing facility using forklifts and other industrial vehicles:
Loading and unloading: Pick, pack, and load products onto or off of trailers, rail cars, and cargo ships
Moving materials: Use forklifts to move pallets, crates, and other materials around the facility
Stacking: Stack loads in the correct storage bays
Maintaining equipment: Perform regular maintenance on forklifts and other tools, and inspect machinery to determine if repairs are needed
Following safety regulations: Adhere to health and safety regulations, and ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods
Documenting: Complete forms, handle documentation, and maintain accurate production records
