Machinist
Priority Personnel is hiring a Temporary CNC Machinist for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX. Assignment is expected to last about 4-6 weeks.
Pay rate: $21/hour
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/8am-5pm
Job Duties:
- Cut raw material.
- De-burr machine parts produced in the machine shop.
- Change parts out on CNC machines for runs.
- Notify the Machine Shop Coordinator if any issues occur or potentially will occur which will adversely affect current or future schedules.
- Ensure that any problems which might have any adverse effect on quality are properly reported and entered into the failure reporting system.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving 5S standards of workplace organization and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, projects and events.
- Perform other Machine Shop duties as assigned by the Machine Shop Coordinator or Director of Operations.
Requirements:
- Must have High School diploma / GED or equivalent.
- Must have basic machine shop equipment training.
- Show Proficiency in operation of both VMC and HMC
- Proficiency in operation of both manual mill and lathe
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the machining field
- Must be able to read and interpret machine drawings.
- Must be able to use hand and measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Must be able to handle and move heavy materials
- Ability to read set- up sheets.
