TalentGro has been working with industry, education, and government agencies to develop Apprenticeship Programs to acquire Apprenticeship jobs. Our Registered Apprenticeship Program and Industry Recognized Apprenticeship Programs will deliver a more prepared workforce that will increase productivity, lower maintenance costs, and create a safer healthier work environment.

Apprenticeship Jobs are structured training programs that give the employee a chance to work (literally) while they learn the job. As an apprentice, the employee will gain the soft skills training and knowledge needed to succeed and advance in their chosen industry as well as a Nationally Recognized Certification or industry-recognized credential. Apprentices earn while they learn. Companies with apprenticeship jobs benefit from improved recruiting and retention, as well as a means to develop much-needed skills.

Hamilton-Ryker has partnered with the University of Tennessee and now offers soft skills training and orientation. Hamilton-Ryker’s soft skills training is designed to deliver a more prepared workforce that will increase productivity and reduce employee turnover and conflict. Hamilton-Ryker is committed to providing safe working conditions for our associates via training programs. Each associate is given a personal orientation and provided with copies of professionally developed safety training brochures. These features give a solid start to a safety training program and meet “right to know” OSHA rulings.

Hamilton-Ryker stresses the importance of safety. Associates are expected to contribute to and maintain the safety of our client’s environment while they are working in your facility.

Hamilton-Ryker will:

  • Provide a Risk Manager and a Workers’ Compensation Specialist to monitor all claims, track trends, and identify problem areas
  • Provide a continued Safety Awareness Training Programs
  • Promote safety to associates and clients through flyers, safety information packets, and other safety awareness activities

Hamilton-Ryker has developed Chemical Hazard Training Programs in video form. All associates will have had this training program before they begin their assignment. Upon beginning an assignment, the only additional instructions would relate to specific chemicals in their immediate work area and information on the location of Material Data Sheets. Hamilton-Ryker will maintain signed verification of the required training programs.

Hamilton-Ryker frequently administers specific tests on behalf of our clients. If you have developed your own testing and wish to have the associate complete that testing as well, we will administer it. By working closely with you and responding to your needs, we become part of a successful team with the most productive workers available.

  • Spelling/Definitions. Word recognition, grammar skills
  • Math/Measurement. Basic and advanced math, ability to read tape measure and ruler
  • Number Proofreading. Counting, sorting and recording by number
  • Following Directions. Step-by-step completion of a task as outlined
  • Counting/Packing. Assembly, packaging, using a calculator, inventory
  • Dexterity/Repetitive Activities. Hand-eye coordination, concentration, using small hand tools, assembly

Hamilton-Ryker uses the most advanced evaluation and enhancement web-based testing available. This allows us to test in areas of secretarial-clerical, software skills, finance-accounting, customer service, call center, behavioral assessment tools, and many more areas.

This also allows us to create customized tests based on our client’s requirements. After an employee completes a test or set of assessments, our clients are provided with detailed information regarding the employee’s skill sets.
